Organic Search Marketing Expert Joins Latitude Group

London, UK (PRWEB) July 5, 2007 -- Search marketing agency Latitude Group has appointed Phil MacKechnie as manager of its London-based search engine optimisation team.

He joins just a week after Latitude unveiled 'Latitude Organic', a new brand identity for its natural search services.

The launch of Latitude Organic at last week's Online Marketing Show capped a six-month campaign by the agency to bolster its SEO capabilities.

Drawing on years of search experience, and making the most of Latitude's automated processes, Latitude Organic encompasses all key SEO services in one flexible package that allows clients to mix and match services to their individual needs.

Jon Myers, Latitude's director of search: "Just this year we've doubled our resource in 'pure' search engine optimisation skills. We now have dedicated SEO teams in London and Warrington, and are running at least twice as many SEO-only campaigns as we were at the end of 2006."

Jon added: "The distinctive Latitude Organic identity will really help us stand out in a crowded market, and the name sums up our fresh and distinctive approach to search engine optimisation."

Jon also welcomed Phil's appointment: "We're very lucky to find someone of Phil's calibre and with his combination of SEO skill and commercial savvy."

A native New Zealander, Phil has more than seven years experience in e-commerce and online marketing. Most recently he was with the Southampton-based SEO specialists, MAD Productions Ltd, and before that with Tait Electronics in New Zealand.

Latitude's new-look search service has got off to a flying start, after the agency announced it has signed a deal with Haven Holidays, to handle SEO for Haven's award-winning UK holiday parks business.

Latitude's appointment by Haven followed a three-way pitch by search marketing agencies, and forms part of Haven's overall online strategy and objectives.

Alison Dunn, Head of E-commerce for Haven said: "We are a customer-driven business so being able to provide the right information at all touchpoints is crucial to us. Organic search is integral to our digital marketing strategy."
